Award winning cartoonist and satirist, Martin Rowson, is featured in Journeys with “The Waste Land” with original drawings from the pages of his graphic novel of the same title. His particular take on the T.S. Eliot poem, a parody of “The Waste Land” in the guise of a graphic novel, is based on the noir novels of Raymond Chandler. It may be irreverent, but picks up on the themes and observations of the original supplying an alternative view of the work.
Martin Rowson will be speaking at the Herbert on his work and latest publications with the opportunity for questions afterwards and signing of his books available to purchase on the day.
