A planning meeting at Coventry Cathedral was held this week to look at display boards, design the text, choose the images, and to survey the area by the Font for the mini exhibition of the Journey of the Font. Here Eve Fleming, a member of the research team of volunteers, is consulting her notes.
Coventry Cathedral Archivist, Dianne Morris, is seen here with Eve deciding on the relevant material and interesting objects to illustrate the epic journey of the boulder from Hebron, near Bethlehem to Coventry in 1960.
The exhibition will be open in the Cathedral alongside the main exhibition in the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum 15th September – 18th November 2018. You are invited to see the display which will explain the interesting story behind the journey of the boulder to font, using one of the themes of Journeys inspired by the poem ‘The Waste Land” by TS Eliot.
