Here is a record of an important meeting at the Herbert to look at the developing exhibition Journeys with “The Waste Land”! Everything is coming together as we discussed practical details concerning loan agreements, labels, signposting, and as ever wavering into philosophy, meaning, poetry…! Details and broad overarching decisions each considered with the same intensity! We discussed the expanding programme of extra events and where these are to be held, how to advertise they are happening and how to encourage participation. It was interesting choosing an image for the publicity material and we were all in agreement with the choice, so watch this space as the designs are put together and we can launch them onto the general public!
We are excited at the prospect of all that is planned and hope that if you are planning an event everything is going well and if the team can help in any way we will! Just contact us through the blog! Get Involved! We have a planned performance of TS Eliot’s “The Waste Land” of course, artist’s talks, dance events, poetry readings and salons, an Open Art Competition arranged by Leamington Studio Artists, so please consider creating a piece to enter, entry details can be found on their website.
We are creating the Events page and this will soon go live, so you can see what we have planned and maybe add to it as time goes on? Our collaboration with local events and organisations so far is wonderful with The Mead Gallery, Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, Coventry Cathedral, Warwick Words History Festival, Leamington Studio Artists, Fire and Dust, Freeman Dance, Warwick Arts Centre,
